Brimstones subtype
JRs formed deep underground are called Brimstones, named after the foul smell of burning rock far below the planets. Of all the Jolleraptor types, those of the Brimstone category are usually the most untamed and wild, for most things underground are cold and stone-hearted, but they can also be shaped into beauty (tamed) with time and patience and a lot of love. Brimstones are the bulkiest of all the types, their fur matted and covered in dust or crusted over by rocks, though sometimes they can be covered in beautiful gemstones or minerals should they land in deposits of beautiful crystalline material, and they can also be oily if landing in oil or petroleum. Based on their birth area they can be strong like metamorphic rocks or weak and brittle like sedimentary. They can also be dangerous should they land within areas of irradiation, or in poisonous mineral or elemental deposits - make sure to take a radiation meter and a radiation suit with you to be sure, but don't be surprised if they seem offended you won't touch them

Naturally, these are the most aggressive and the strongest out of all the subspecies barring the elusive Dreamers. They are one of the hardest to tame and it can take well over a year before this subtype trusts you or rather, doesn’t try to bite or attack you.

While they commonly are seen underground, it’s not uncommon to see them on volcanic plains, salt and mineral mines and dams. They prefer hotter environments and have even been seen fighting for dominance over lava lakes due to their high resistance and sturdiness

However, with brawn, comes a lesser intelligence. Thinking is the last thing they do and put actions first and if that means threatening anything that comes into its territory, it will. They can even become territorial to their own young when coming of age.

Due to them sometimes landing in irradiated areas at birth, their mutation rate is extremely high, developing mutations that can seem horrifying to many. Because of this, it can also affect their temperaments; usually Brimstones with a lot less mutations and even less bulky are more gentle in comparison with their stronger brethren.

Due to mineral overgrowth on these JRs, it isn’t uncommon a solid rocky mass completely covers the entire top of their head as well as protruding on their jawline. This rocky mass is completely fused to the Jolle and cannot be removed, but their other senses are heightened - even gaining an extra ability to direct them.
Their horns follow the same traits EXCEPT, they all become a crystalline texture, much akin to epic elemental, but without being truly elemental. These horns grow directly from the rocky mass and thus infused with a kind of magic that helps them see like a guide.
This mutation is common trait on Brimstones (if you wanted to, this wouldn’t be a requirement of brimstone anatomy).

Brimstones diet consists of gems and other minerals which can be absorbed into their bodies and grow even rarer and precious gems and minerals - which can be carefully harvested with no pain and allows the subtype to be cleaned every now and again - though they can naturally shed these minerals as well by rubbing and scratching on rocks.

The rate of crystal growth varies, but for a cluster of small to mid range clusters to grow, it takes roughly a year before the Brimstones decides to shed them.
